Captain Phil and President Ken……………………

.

This week was a fun team challenge with 53 players. The format was individual stableford with the total stableford points from each team added together. The captain’s team, led by Phil Cooke, came out on top. Well done to sausage Dave for his great score of 42 points (welcome to division one with the big boys!). Nice to have Tanya back in her role of starter, and also for helping with the raffle and free draw.

Thanks to Sandra Rollett who took over the starting duties from Tanya, who was away on holiday. Husband and wife Sven Erik and Ellen took the overall prize and the ladies division.

54 players, 27 pairs for this year’s celebration of the society’s formation. Windy would be an underestimate of the conditions, more like gale force, and also coming from a different direction. Once the ball was in the air slices and hooks were severely punished against the wind making several holes much longer. However, the husband and wife team of Andrew and Teresa Nicol produced an amazing score to take this year’s first major.

Also thanks to Tanya and Phil for the photos, always welcome.
