Due to Olagolf not having a computer system (PW have taken theirs) all our bookings for the summer have been cancelled. When their new system is installed we will rebook until September.

We are hoping to meet the new manager shortly to discuss issues and the way forward.

Next week is an individual stableford.

This week the course was very difficult after hollow tining of the greens, followed by covering them with sand. In fact on the 6th hole Terry couldn’t find his ball marker on the green for about 3 minutes!

Not everyone struggled though as you can see from the results.

Division 1

1st Anthony McNally 37pts
2nd Mark Kummerer 36pts

2nd division

1st Scott Abraham 39pts
2nd John Pitman   39pts
3rd Shay Quinn     33pts

1st Kim Lloyd    30pts

No 0.1 back this week due to the state of the course.

Yellow ball Friday April 30th 2010

This week was a yellow ball comp where the pressure was on the team member playing the yellow ball. With 2 scores to count at each hole the player with the yellow ball must count with their score being doubled at that hole. If you have a net birdie that is 3pts x 2 = 6pts. However if you dont score 0pts x 2 – 0pts! Also count the best nett of the other 3 players in the team.

Winners this week with 113pts were:

Dave Storey    John Pearman    John Garry     Barry Answer

Kevin Smith    Eian Gordon    Ernie Pendlebury     Chris Markenfeldt

They were close with 112pts

The competition was played in glorious sunshine.

Next week is an individual stableford and we already have 24 entries so get your name down!
